Place the down part you removed on the rectangular hole, ensure they both align appropriately. Afterward, push it into the hole.

To reattach the vane, you need to fix the blind tilt mechanism, so that you’ll align all the bases properly. To do this, rotate them so that they align with the one you just fixed. Then holding both ends of the string you attached to the base, pull downward. This approach will help move the base back into its position of operation.

Cord Too Long

Within the headrail, the cord usually ends in a knot. To remove the excess of it, grab the vane carrier, and pull the cord until you attain your desired cord height. With it at your desired height, knot it at that point.

When you want to fix blinds that are stuck, check the cord lock it is immovable. You can fix this challenge by lifting the cord, so it becomes level with the headrail and pulling gently. This approach usually helps to release the cord-lock.

If this does not work, take down the window blind and find the cord lock mechanism. After that, to release the cord, use a screwdriver to turn the pin on the cord lock 900 to the headrail and push the pin. Do this carefully in order not to disturb the cord, especially in a single hung window.

Difficulty in Tilting or Turning Slats on Aluminum Blinds

A disconnected tilter is a common problem with Aluminum blind window guards. This issue happens when the tilt mechanism fails to control the tilt of the blinds. To reattach a disconnected tilter, you should do the following.

Turn the wand to the left while pulling gently on the ladder back string if the vanes are in a down position. You should do this if they are closed in a downward position before you separate the tilter.

Turn the wand to the right while pulling gently on the ladder front string if the vanes are in an upward position. You should do this if they are closed in an up position before you disconnect the tilter.

How to Change a Wand Tilter

Detach the wand from your window blinds after taking down the blind. Since the tilter is within the headrail, you should remove the endcap. Pull out the tilt rod just to the point of the tilter coming out.

Remove and replace the tilter. Press down on the tilter until it stays well.

Rotate the tilter shaft, ensuring that the flat portion of the tilter rod aligns with that of the tilter. Gently replace the road for a vertical window that won’t turn with the wand and cover the headrail using the end cap.

Joining or Changing the Blind String

First, remove the cap holding the ladder in place from the bottom rail. You will see the ends of the cords. Gently draw it out a little. When it is out, cut the old cord above the point where you tired it. Join the old and the new one together using a mild heating source.

Ensure that the welded joint is straight and smooth to ensure that you can pull up the chord smoothly. You can do all this while the blind is still attached to the window.

Pull the cord tassel gently from the side with the cord lock. The weld ensures that the new cord goes through the same path with the old one.

At any desired length, knot it at the bottom rail and cut off the extra part. You can repeat the process for other cords

Changing Broken Slats

First, detach the cap holding the ladder in place from the bottom rail. Afterward, you will see the ends of the cords. Gently draw them out a little. When they are out, cut the old one above the point where you tired it. Pull it up until the last spoilt slat is cleared.

Replace the slats with the new ones you got. Insert it and ensure that route holes align with the old slats present.

If there is alternating between the sides of the ladder, weave the cords down. Place it securely within its hole in the bottom rail and knot the cord.
